Check Out Mayse Farm Market This Fall

September 27, 2026

Mayse Farm Market is a family owned and operated farm market in Evansville, Indiana. What started as a produce stand at the 4th Street Farmers Market in 1940 is now a working farm, a market, our Down on the Farm Bakery, and — every fall — a place where school buses and minivans line up for wagon rides to the pumpkin patch.

We grow what we sell. Sweet corn comes out of our own fields from the Fourth of July through September, tomatoes and green beans right alongside it, and the greenhouses start the whole year off in spring. What we don’t grow ourselves, we bring in from growers around the tri-state.

Four generations later, the family is still the ones behind the counter.

  • Family owned and operated since 1940.
  • Open mid-April through October each year.
  • School field trips on the farm every fall since 2002.
  • Rebuilt after the 2005 fire — back open in May 2006.
  • Pumpkins, wagon rides, the corn maze, and cider by the crate. Weekends 10 AM – 6 PM with the last wagon at 5 PM — here’s everything you need to plan the day.
